Three Regency Health Facilities win Bronze

2012 AHCA Bronze Quality Award“It is very exciting”, says Steve Vera, Regional Director of Operations about the three for three Bronze wins. The recognition as 2012 recipients of the Bronze-Commitment to Quality Award received by Regency Health of Norwich, Stamford and Windham is evidence to the quality of care delivered at these facilities.  The Bronze Award is one of three progressive distinctions possible through the National Quality Award Program presented by AHCA-the American HealthCare Association based on the Baldridge Performance Criteria.  The Bronze Awards will be presented to Regency Health of Norwich, Stamford and Windham at the 63rd Annual Convention and Exposition, October 7-10, 2012 hosted in Tampa, Florida.

Regency Health Welcomes Steven Vera

Steven Vera has joined Ciena Healthcare’s Regency Health as the Regional Director of Operations overseeing four facilities in Danielson, Norwich, Stamford and Windham. Mr. Vera comes to Regency Health with over 20 years of operation and administrative experience in skilled nursing facilities across both Massachusetts and Connecticut.  Mr. Vera comes to Regency Health from Health Bridge Management where he increased fiscal responsibility and profit while at the same time implementing census growth and quality mix improvement programs. Kristine Halsey, Chief Operations Officer for Regency Health says, “We are very excited to have Steve Vera join us at Regency Health, his expertise will benefit the entire region.”

Steve Vera has recruited a strong regional team including Regional Care Coordinator, Tami Reilly and Regional MDS Coordinator Patti Whitten.  Goals include moving the facilities to the preferred provider in each area as well as to implement award winning clinical and census programming.  “I am very excited to facilitate positioning the Regency Health facilities to the highest performing facility in each region”, says Steve Vera.

Steve Vera currently resides in Willington, Connecticut with his wife and two children.
