The staff and nurses are very helpful and professional. My father-in-law needed placed in a nursing home about the same time COVID hit. They went above and beyond in helping us through the process. They continually keep us informed and are polite when we call to check on him. I would highly recommend The Laurels of DeKalb.

I visited my mother today and was truly impressed. The staff were so friendly, and the place felt open, safe, and welcoming. Residents are able to move freely from the first floor to the second without feeling trapped, which makes such a positive difference. It’s comforting to see an environment that truly supports residents’ well-being.

We can’t thank the staff at the Laurels enough for the incredible care they’ve given to our grandparents. From the moment they arrived, we felt peace knowing they were in such kind and capable hands. The nurses, therapists, and support staff treat them like family — always patient, compassionate, and attentive to every need.

The facility is clean, welcoming, and truly feels like home. The communication has been wonderful, and it’s clear that everyone there genuinely cares about the residents’ well-being and happiness.

I give this facility a five star. My mom and dad had Covid and I placed them into this facility because at the time they were the only facility across the state that could accommodate both of my parents. I was uneased by reading all the horrific reviews. I called the facility, The receptionist was polite and she informed me that there were three Keesha and I need to speak with the one in Admissions. Well I spoke with her and I felt very comfortable after our conversation, she had the answers that I was looking for. The nursing staff were wonderful from the beginning to the end of my parents stay. My parents are no longer here but I know that I chose the right facility and I rest comfortably..
