The facility is older but also smaller. I believe they have less than 100 beds/rooms. Smaller nursing homes often offer better services to patients with family support. Also, the Dir. of Admission has several years of experience that helps her work well with patients and their families.

The nurses, aides, and therapists contact me frequently with updates and suggestions regarding my dad's care. The administration and office staff are helpful and encourage communication. I know Dad is getting the care he deserves. He is treated like family.

All of the staff were very helpful with our loved one. It was a difficult decision to say the least, but the staff were all friendly, especially Haylee, the admissions director. She went above and beyond, making the transition as well as helping us adjust as a family. When I checked on him the next day, he commented he wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
That made me feel a lot better about him being there. We just wanted a place that would care for him as we do, and I believe we found that at the Laurels of West Columbus.
