The caregivers at every Ciena Healthcare community are committed to ensuring residents who require dialysis receive treatments at the frequency prescribed by their doctors. We also provide the supportive care they need to cope with the discomfort and side effects of dialysis.
Some of our communities feature on-site dialysis, allowing us to minimize disruptions to residents' routines and maximize their comfort during, after, and between sessions.
This program may be ideal for individuals who require short-term skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care customized for end-stage renal disease.
The Dialysis Support Program is designed for individuals who are medically stable (e.g., stable cardiac status) and require short-term skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care. Attending physicians are welcome to follow their patient's participation. If that is not feasible, a member of the medical staff will attend to the resident or guest in our community.
Our staff is trained in the special dietary requirements, fluid management, and common needs of residents and guests with end-stage renal disease. We can also offer:
Ciena Healthcare communities are staffed by highly trained healthcare professionals who understand the effects of dialysis treatment and the importance of kidney care. Our nurses and care teams partner with qualified local dialysis providers to ensure residents with kidney disease receive dependable dialysis services at the necessary intervals for their condition. They work collaboratively so that all treatments are delivered safely and efficiently, following the latest medical guidelines and best practices.
Our medical staff is available 24/7 to respond to any health concerns, monitor vital signs, and manage complications that may arise from kidney disease or dialysis treatments. We also offer regular health assessments to track the effectiveness of dialysis and make necessary changes to the treatment plan to ensure that residents are receiving the best possible care.
Managing kidney disease and undergoing regular dialysis treatments can be physically and emotionally challenging. At Ciena Healthcare, we provide more than just medical treatment; we offer comprehensive support and education to help residents and their families navigate the challenges of dialysis.
Our team educates residents on kidney health, dialysis procedures, and how to recognize potential complications. We also provide menus and dietary plan adjustments as needed to ensure residents are able to effectively manage kidney disease and other conditions.
At Ciena Healthcare, we understand that dialysis is not just about medical treatment—it’s about enhancing the resident’s overall quality of life. Our goal is to provide care that not only manages kidney disease but also helps residents stay active, engaged, and independent.
We encourage residents to participate in social and recreational activities that align with their energy levels and dialysis schedules. Our caregivers work to minimize the disruption that dialysis treatments may cause in daily life, making sure residents have the support they need to lead fulfilling lives despite their condition.
