TESTIMONIALS AND GOOGLE REVIEWS

Recovery at The Laurels was [the] experience of a lifetime ... If it wasn’t for this place and the employees here I wouldn’t have been able to make the positive changes that I needed to live a productive life.

– Russell S

My stay at The Laurels was excellent. On a scale of 1 thru 10 I give it a 10. The aides did their part on helping me get healthy by helping get clean when I needed it, helping me become more independent, and just attending to all my basic needs. The nurses also did a great job at making sure I got m... Read More

I have been so impressed with both the staff and the facility at The Laurels. The caregivers were very attentive to our needs throughout my brothers stay and we could not be more grateful. Thank you, Laurels of Middletown, for making this season of our life a littler easier.

– Katie

Very clean and the staff is very nice. They have treated my Mom with respect and could not be happier with them. She is there long term and has made a lot of friends. No issues or concerns with her care. I think it Is a very nice place.

– Darrell P

My stay here has been stellar as far as needs being met. From the physical therapy dept to the admin dept., I would recommend any type of rehabilitation being done for someone.

– Paul W

The therapy department has gone above and beyond as a whole in order to get me back up and walking. They always give me the push I need to take that next step.

– Bump B

The staff here was kind and helpful when a family member stayed for extended physical therapy. No assisted living can be perfect 100% of the time, but the staff tries hard to make things right.

– Darlys B

My loved one was well taken care off during his stay. One day in particular he was having a rough day and they got him a whopper and onion rings which is his favorite. Looked like they really a wanted to help.

Advocacy

Skilled nursing communities (SNFs) like Ciena Healthcare provide crucial services for our most vulnerable population: the frail and elderly. Today’s SNFs have significantly evolved over time to provide both long-term comprehensive care and short-term rehabilitation services. However, in comparison to other medical settings, especially hospitals, SNFs are often overlooked for important resources and funding.

As health care evolves, skilled nursing communities are increasingly providing care previously delivered in hospitals. Nationwide, the 65 and older population will double over the next 20 years. By 2040, it could triple. As our population ages, SNFs are becoming increasingly vital to the care and wellbeing of our seniors.

SNFs need advocates and allies to actively engage with their representatives and speak up about important issues facing our industry. This page is designed to share ways you can help support SNFs and the vital services they provide for our elders.

Contact Your Elected Officials and Voice Your Support for SNFs!

It is crucial the voices of SNF supporters be heard by Congress. Members of Congress value their constituents’ opinions and it is critical they hear from our advocates and allies.
