I have been so very impressed with the staff in memory care. Their professionalism in handling the residents is inspiring. The patience they display day in day out helps me be a better caregiver. My mom can be a handful when sunsetting and the staff perform brilliantly in calming her down and get the situation under control. I would recommend Laurels to everyone.

My mother has been at The Laurels of Worthington since mid July in the memory care unit. The care she receives daily is awesome from Mary the aid to Mary Kaye the head nurse. She also has other care takers there that go above and beyond for her care. I toured many other places with memory care and I’m so grateful that this is where she is. They are very involved with each patients care and the families concerns. Everyone here is warm and welcoming.

My husband has been at Laurels Of WORTHINGTON for over a month , I have worked in the health field for over 40 year's with my outlook on over all nursing home care in our city. I am so excited that my husband is at Laurels Of WORTHINGTON! The staff from every department from management down everyone in the facility is pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, the facility is clean everyday! No odor like some facilities, bright, decorations, food is good! Everyone is on point, educated, quick responses when we need anything! Staff will engage in conversation with the visitors! I experienced a medical emergency that required me to obtain a dedicated short term physical therapy routine. My stay at the Laurels in Worthington was very positive. I have had experienced another Nursing Rehab facility. I was most impressed with the staff at this facility. All nursing facilities have good and less than good issues with patient care. But, what I found very good about this Laurels location is that the staff works well together. And, that directly and positively affects the care received by the patients. While each staff member from house keeping to nurses to admin each have responsibilities they all had a tendency to acknowledge patients when they reached out for help. If they could not directly help the sought the correct staff member. Also their activities staff were uniquely encouraging at getting patients to participate (they managed to get me out of my comfort zone :). But most impressive was the Therapists team. They consistantly maintained a sufficient number of Occupational and Physical Therapist for the number of patients. They were very professional and hands on with both the mobile and challenged patients. I left the facility in far better condition than I expected. They pushed me and were encouraging. And, when I had outside doctor appointments they coordinated my transportation to make sure I kept those too. All in all, they are a good facility. It is apparent that their administration has specific expectations about decent care and those expectations are reflected through the staff which ultimately leads to a better experience for the patient. Thank you all for your help during my stay. Keep up the good work. We thank firefighters for their service. But we really need to that personal care workers for theirs as well.

My first impression upon arriving to meet my mom at this facility was utter dismay. I expected a much nicer facility. After all this is Worthington. The building is old with little to no updates. My intention was to move my mom to a new facility. However, in the mean time I noticed the staff was competent, insightful, and caring. My mom is still there receiving good care at The Laurels of Worthington. As we all know it's the care that counts!
