Helene’s osteoarthritis in her knee was gradually getting worse and worse. She tried everything known to man to try to reduce the pain and improve her mobility, including steroid shots and Synvisc shots to try to help rebuild the cartilage in her knee. Nothing worked, “My knee was still grinding bone on bone and I was in so much pain that I could barely walk or get out of my car!” “I used to be able to shop all day long, but towards the end I was limited to only about 2 hours and wouldn’t dare trying to walk through a mall, one of my favorite places”. “My Occupational Therapist Jill was great! My Physical Therapist Syed was wonderful too. He taught me to work through the pain and pushed me to strive harder when I wanted to give up.” Helene adds, “All of the nursing staff was fantastic, especially my nurses Roxane and Niki and Nursing Assistants Natasha and Ashley. They knew all of the things that I like and made sure that I had them before I even asked.” Helene exclaims, “100% I would recommend Regency at Canton to anyone and everyone I know! Now that I came to Regency at Canton for rehabilitation, I don’t understand how people can go home right after surgery. Regency offers the staff and equipment you need to get better as fast as possible to return home to your independence.”

"There wasn't one thing that I didn't love about my stay at The Laurels of Carson City. I had never been to a Rehabilitation facility so I had no idea what to expect. The Laurels of Carson City definitely exceeded my expectations! All of the therapy staff treated me with the utmost respect, and were always cheerful. I always left the therapy gym with a smile, feeling fantastic. It was certainly hard work, but with such caring staff it was worth every minute of my stay. The Laurels of Carson City is a wonderful place and I will definitely return if I am in need of therapy again. Thank you to everyone at The Laurels of Carson City for your compassion."

I had knee surgery at Sinai Hospital in Detroit and was told that I should go to a rehabilitation center before going home. I was very comfortable going to a sub-acute center because I used to work at one. “My experience at Regency at Livonia was excellent. The nurses and CNAs were very attentive and always willing to help me. My pain was horrible and they addressed it quickly and also gave me pain relieving techniques. The physical and occupational therapy was outstanding and they knew how to push me just enough and made my therapy sessions fun! “I am planning to have a knee replacement on my other knee and I will definitely request Regency at Livonia for my rehab needs!

My stay here was great and the staff was attentive to my needs. Anything I needed the staff made sure I had. They had someone from management meet with me daily to ask about my stay [and if I ever had any concerns they were handled immediately]. I am at home with my family because of the staff and amazing therapy department at this rehab. I cannot thank them enough for all of their kindness and hard work.

I enjoyed choosing my meals and entrees each day at Bluffs Park. My favorite was the baked goods. My therapy was with Amy, OT and Teddy, PTA and it was excellent. I started out walking with a walker, progressed to a cane, then became stronger and able to walk on my own. I was walking up and down a full flight of stairs when I left.
